Hilton Kota Kinabalu is ushering in the Lunar New Year with a festive culinary celebration themed Strides of Abundance, offering a series of dining experiences at Urban Kitchen from January 12 to February 20, 2026.
The hotel recently hosted a media preview where General Manager Smitah Shah-Boultwood introduced the Feast of Fortune dinner buffet, featuring festive specialities crafted with premium ingredients and inspired by traditional flavours associated with abundance and prosperity.
She and members of her management team also took part in the traditional yee sang mixing and tossing ceremony, symbolising good fortune and unity for the year ahead.
In line with the Year of the Horse, Hilton Kota Kinabalu’s Chinese New Year offerings centre on the themes of reunion, prosperity and togetherness, reflecting the importance of shared meals during the festive season.
Guests can expect bountiful feasts, classic festive delicacies and symbolic dishes carefully curated by the hotel’s culinary team.
A key highlight is the Auspicious Reunions Dinner Buffet on February 16, served from 6.30pm to 10pm.
Priced at RM168 nett per adult, RM148 nett per senior citizen and RM84 nett per child, the buffet features signature items such as Prosperity Treasure Pot, Fortune Yee Sang, Golden Peking Duck, a Hong Kong-style barbecue roast station, a selection of seafood and an array of festive desserts. A Buy Four Free One promotion is available.
For daytime celebrations, the Lunar High Tea Buffet will be served from 12pm to 3pm on February 17 and 18.
Prices start from RM118 nett per adult on February 17 and RM108 nett per adult on February 18, with special rates for senior citizens and children.
Highlights include Fortune Yee Sang, an auspicious carving station, chef’s dim sum selections, Khao Mok Gai, Singaporean chilli crab and assorted desserts. The Buy Four Free One promotion applies.
Complementing the dining experiences is the Toss to Prosperity Yee Sang, available daily from 7am to 7pm throughout the festive period.
Diners can choose from Classic, Salmon or Abalone Yee Sang, offered in small or large portions for both family gatherings and corporate celebrations.
The yee sang is available for dine-in and takeaway, with pre-orders required one day in advance.
Hilton Honors members enjoy exclusive discounts, while early bird bookings made by February 5 are entitled to a 25 per cent discount on selected promotions.
