Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Environment, Datuk Christina Liew, hosted a dinner for Her Excellency Datin Paduka Dr Adina Kamarudin, the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Federal Republic of Germany, along with officials from Tourism Malaysia Frankfurt Office.
The dinner, held at a prominent restaurant, served as a precursor to ITB Berlin 2024, the world’s largest tourism trade show, scheduled from March 5 to 7 at the Berlin exhibition grounds.
In attendance were Robinder Kaur, the Director of Tourism Malaysia Frankfurt Office, and Aswad Aziz, the Deputy Director.
Liew is leading a delegation from the Sabah Tourism Board (STB) to participate in ITB Berlin 2024, aiming to attract more European tourists to Sabah.
Dr Adina, accompanied by her spouse Mahzan Abdul Samad, warmly welcomed the Sabah delegation, which included Assistant Minister and STB Chairman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, Permanent Secretary to the Ministry Josie Lai Mei Sing, Chairman of Sri Pelancongan Sabah Ken Pan Ying On, and STB Chief Executive Officer Julinus Jeffery Jimit, among others.
