Pitas eyeing a record 16-day CNY festival

Pitas district gears up for a 16-day Chinese New Year Festival, starting February 9, aiming to break six records, including non-stop traditional music and bamboo walking.

Recognised in 2016 for the Longest Non-stop Chinese New Year Events, Pitas demonstrates resilience despite economic challenges.

Sabah Tourism Board Chairman Joniston Bangkuai commends Pitas’ commitment, envisioning economic growth through tourism.

He encourages local players to showcase unique products during the festivities.

The event, led by Asdi @ Mohd Faizal Hussin, promises an extensive lineup, including singing contests, beauty pageants, and creative ethnic dance competitions.
