The Borneo Rainforest Lodge (BRL) recently underwent a fire-fighting and rescue training in preparation for emergencies.
The training, held from Oct 28-30 and Oct 31-Nov 2, was conducted by the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department of Lahad Datu.
The primary goal of this training was to equip the lodge’s personnel with rescue knowledge.
Participants were drilled in basic fire-fighting and rescue techniques, including the proper use of emergency hose reels and fire extinguishers.
This training was designed to boost the staff’s confidence and capabilities.
Furthermore, the training programme was aligned with the requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act 1994 (OSHA).
