SICC hosts CULT M’sia Day parade

The Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) recently hosted the CULT Malaysia Day Parade, solidifying its status as a premier venue for major events.

This versatile facility accommodated 500 cars in its spacious foyer and welcomed 1,000 attendees and vendors.

The car parade was inaugurated by Assistant Tourism, Culture, and Environment Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, with the presence of SICC CEO Datuk Rosmawati Lasuki, CULT event director Azlin Awang Chee, and CULT promotion director John Kong.

The event showcased a diverse array of cars, some adorned with Sabah and National flags, setting the stage for the upcoming CULT car show event in November, named “The Apex of Car Culture in Borneo.”

In 2022, CULT’s inaugural event drew 650 cars and 20,000 visitors to SICC. This year, CULT aims to attract 30,000 visitors and feature an even broader selection of international automobiles.

Joniston praised SICC’s commitment to community engagement and unity.

He highlighted the significance of such events for Sabah’s tourism industry, expressing hope that CULT would become a signature event on Sabah’s activity calendar, drawing tourists and enthusiasts from various places.

With SICC’s support, the event serves as a platform to showcase Sabah’s unique culture and vibrant lifestyle.
