OMBAK 24-hour live enter the Malaysia Book of Records

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Tamparuli Bamboo Music Orchestra Association (OMBAK) 24-hour non-stop exposition of the state’s tourism products was recognised in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR).

The promotional campaign held on Aug 21-22 was streamed live on the Facebook page of OMBAK programme director Stanley Missun

The feat dubbed the “Longest Non-stop Live Broadcasting Tourism Fair – 24HR” involved 48 tour operators was held at the Sabah International Convention Centre.

MBR chief operating officer Christopher Wong presented the certificate of recognition to Stanley.

Sabah Assistant Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai was invited the witness the presentation ceremony.

He said the campaign allows tourism operators in the rural areas to introduce their products and hope the initiative would be continued in future.

OMBAK announced they will attempt to break the newly created record in December, by going non-stop live 48 hours.-HS
