The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Sabah Chapter is hosting the largest travel fair from May 19 to 21 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).
This highly anticipated event is expected to attract visitors of all kinds, with 90 booths featuring regional and international exhibitors.
As Malaysia enters the endemic phase, the tourism industry is eager to rebuild and revitalize itself to meet consumer demands.
The fair serves as an excellent platform for the tourism sector, especially with the government’s support in opening borders to international tourists.
It will be officiated on May 20 at 10 am by Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew, along with MATTA President Datuk KL Tan.
Royal Caribbean International has been chosen as the cruise partner, reflecting the extraordinary demand for international cruise tourism, as more individuals recognize its advantages over air or land travel.
MATTA Sabah is confident that the collaboration with Royal Caribbean International will significantly contribute to the growth of Malaysia’s cruise segment and promote the demand for cruise holidays in the region.
They are also pleased to have Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), comprising Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and MASwings, as the official airlines of the fair.
“These partnerships will attract customers looking for superb deals on airfare tickets, holiday packages, and unique experiences, along with multiple travel perks for their next getaway,” said MATTA Sabah Chairman Lawrence Chin.
Malaysia Airlines Berhad will offer discounts of up to 40 percent while both MASwings and Firefly respectively up to 20 and 25 percent.
Attendees will have the chance to win prizes worth up to RM40,000, including air tickets, hotel accommodations, and other exciting rewards from various sponsors.
Admission to the fair is free, and the opening hours are from 10 am to 9 pm for all three days.
