Nature-based healing as tourism product at Crocker Range

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah wants to develop nature-based healing at the Crocker Range Park as a tourism product.

Its Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister, Datuk Jafry Ariffin said the unspoiled park which is rich with flora and fauna can provide a positive impact to those seeking to release their stress.

“Nature-based healing is not a remedy, but visitors can experience a sense of calmness to benefit their emotion and mental health,” said Jafry after a briefing session given by Sabah Parks.

He said nature-based healing will allow visitors to immerse with the environment.

He explained the nature-based healing is part of the tourism ministry efforts to continue to identify places with tourism values.

And these places will be given attention in the development of basic infrastructure to entice visitors to come.-HS.
