The Kota Kinabalu Christmas Celebration 2023 (KKCC) will run from Dec 12 to 15 at Padang Merdeka.
Organised by Sabah Council of Churches and Kota Kinabalu City Hall, it focuses on unity with the theme “Christmas: Unity and Harmony.”
City Hall Director Junainah Abbie emphasises promoting peace and understanding.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor will officiate the opening on Dec 12.
The public is invited to come for the nightly programme from 6pm to 10pm, featuring various local artistes performances including “Kasih Natal,” the KKCC theme song.
A Sunset Fun Run on Dec 10, ahead of the celebration to raise funds for needy homes.
Festivities include Christmas carols, sales stalls, a light show, Nativity Hut, and a 50ft x 20ft Christmas Tree.
A live Facebook broadcast is available, and children aged 12 and under will receive Christmas gifts throughout the four-night programme.
