Sabah ideal golfing destination for Koreans

South Korean Consulate-General Joo Jung-cheol highlighted Sabah’s allure for Korean golfers due to convenient accessibility, with Malaysia ranking third among favoured destinations.

Joo praised Kota Kinabalu’s golf courses, especially Sutera Harbour, Sabah Golf and Country Club, Karambunai, and Dalit Bay, citing their proximity to the city centre.

He anticipated a surge in Korean visitors during December to February.

In 2019, 480,000 Koreans visited Sabah, with 20 per cent engaging in golf-related activities.

Joo emphasized Sabah’s rising popularity for Korean investors in the golf sector.

Sabah Tourism Board Chairman Joniston Bangkuai affirmed the commitment to golf tourism, offering affordable packages.
