Sabah unveiled the Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark at the World Travel Market 2023 in London.
It’s the third location globally to achieve the prestigious triple crown status, after China and Korea.
The geopark covers 4,750 square kilometers across three districts-Ranau, Kota Belud and Kota Marudu preserving unique culture and heritage of rural communities.

Additionally, a bird guidebook titled “A Naturalist’s Guide to Borneo’s Birds (4th edition)” was launched, providing insights into 280 bird species and bird-watching spots.
