KOTA KINABALU: The premiere of Saudin the Orangutan documentary and The First Murut Journey to New York-1936 exhibition at Azman Hashim Gallery, UMS will be launched by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
It will take place on October 28, 2022 at 2.30pm.
The First Murut Journey to New York-1936 exhibition will be held for threee consecutive days starting from October 28-30, 2022 at 9am to 4pm.
Saudin the Orangutan Whisperer documentary will be air on History Channel by late December, 2022.
Rye Production Sdn Bhd was pleased to have the assistance of Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac), Sabah government and Sabah Tourism Board, Sabah Museum and Gallery Azman Hashim to launch this exhibition and documentary.
We stumbled upon a coffee book titled ‘The Spirit of Borneo’ and discover an interesting character known as Saudin who was a Murut native from a small remote village, Kampung Ambual in Keningau, Sabah, said the producer.
“As this is a crucial documentary focusing on a native Sabahan, we want the younger generation to know Saudin as he is part of history,” said the producer.-HS
