{"id":3808,"date":"2026-02-23T06:48:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T06:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/?p=3808"},"modified":"2026-02-23T09:42:18","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T09:42:18","slug":"sifex-2026-to-showcase-400-brands-across-312-booths","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/?p=3808","title":{"rendered":"SIFEX 2026 to showcase 400 brands across 312 booths"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The fourth Sabah International Food Expo (SIFEX 2026) will be held from April 24 to 26, 2026, at the Sabah International Convention Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SIFEX 2026, regarded as the largest food exhibition in East Malaysia, will feature 312 booths showcasing more than 400 food and beverage brands from Malaysia and across the region, said organising chairperson Datuk Khatijah Bachtiyal, who is also managing director of ESM Exhibitor Relations Malaysia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cExhibitors will include participants from Brunei, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan, alongside federal government agencies and industry leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAbout 60,000 visitors are expected at the exhibition, themed \u201cTasting Tomorrow\u2019s Market\u201d, which offers opportunities for product showcasing, business networking and market expansion,\u201d said Khatijah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The expo will be open from 10am to 9pm and will serve both business-to-consumer and direct business-to-business engagement platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"570\" height=\"668\" data-id=\"3806\" src=\"https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img-20260223-wa00182035327403328256911.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3806\" srcset=\"https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img-20260223-wa00182035327403328256911.jpg 570w, https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/img-20260223-wa00182035327403328256911-256x300.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 570px) 100vw, 570px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlights include 400 FMCG brands, a Taiwan Product Fair, a vibrant street food section featuring authentic regional delights, and a dedicated pastry and bakery section showcasing artisanal creations, she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be food tasting sessions and cooking demonstrations by celebrity chef Dato&#8217; Fazley Yaakob, she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other activities include interactive workshops and product presentations featuring the latest culinary innovations, as well as 1,000 exclusive doorgifts for early visitors on the first day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SIFEX 2026 invites supermarkets, importers, distributors, restaurateurs, caf\u00e9 owners, hoteliers, investors, NGOs and food enthusiasts to participate in and support this regional food showcase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening ceremony will be held on April 25 at 11am.
