KBPK Chairperson Elsheera Alfred Yapat said the programme aimed to bring together youth in an empowering environment to share talents, build networks, and support community development through platforms such as tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKiulu has great potential in tourism, agriculture, and industry. I believe our youth can unlock this potential, with creativity, spirit, and wisdom as their greatest assets,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Assistant Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister and Kiulu Assemblyman, Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, said youth play a key role in driving tourism and other community-based initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYoung people in Kiulu should not rely solely on existing opportunities, but must be bold in creating their own space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTechnology and social media should be used wisely to highlight village uniqueness, generate income, and support initiatives such as agropreneurship, home caf\u00e9s, and community-based tourism services,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He proposed an Idea Pitch Mini programme to allow youth to present business or community tourism project ideas with the opportunity to receive seed funding, as part of broader empowerment efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
