{"id":3182,"date":"2024-07-08T14:17:08","date_gmt":"2024-07-08T14:17:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/2024\/07\/08\/mcta-sabah-embark-on-roadshow-to-kelantan-perak\/"},"modified":"2024-09-18T01:53:40","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T01:53:40","slug":"mcta-sabah-embark-on-roadshow-to-kelantan-perak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/?p=3182","title":{"rendered":"MCTA Sabah embark on roadshow to Kelantan, Perak"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"660\" data-id=\"3180\" src=\"https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/fb_img_17201949615747381676725263233209-1024x660.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/fb_img_17201949615747381676725263233209-1024x660.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/fb_img_17201949615747381676725263233209-300x193.jpg 300w, https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/fb_img_17201949615747381676725263233209-768x495.jpg 768w, https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/fb_img_17201949615747381676725263233209.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sabah is making efforts to attract tourists from Kelantan and Perak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association (MCTA) Sabah has initiated a move to hold a business networking event with tourism players in Kota Bharu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its Chairman, Vincent Sia, said they want to capitalize on AirAsia&#8217;s current operation between Kota Kinabalu and Kota Bharu, which runs three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event was attended by Kelantan Tourism, Culture, Arts, and Heritage Chairman Datuk Kamaruddin Md Nor, and Tourism Malaysia Eastern Region Office Deputy Director Mohd Azizul Arif Yahaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To attract more travelers to visit Sabah, he suggested that AirAsia might consider increasing flight frequency as Kelantan has a promising market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MCTA Sabah also held a business networking event with tourism players in Ipoh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe visitors can travel to Sabah via Penang, which has an international airport,\u201d Vincent noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vincent said that he had extended an invitation to Perak Tourism Chairman Datuk Mohd Kamil Shafie to visit Sabah in the near future to foster cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both Sabah and Perak have their own tourism products, and many Perak travel agencies have never been to Sabah, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Perak also boasts its own elephants, distinct from Sabah&#8217;s pygmy elephants,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MCTA Sabah members also attended the National MCTA annual general meeting and election held in Kuala Lumpur, where Patrick Law was appointed as the new president.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also congratulated MCTA Sabah Advisor Lawrence Wong on being elected as the national 1st Vice President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He hoped that the new office bearers will provide them with greater support and create more opportunities for business and benefits for the members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sabah is making efforts to attract tourists from Kelantan and Perak.
