The Malaysia Mega Sale nationwide campaign is back after a four-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Sabah, the sale will run from June 15 to July 31, 2024, said Tourism Malaysia Sabah Deputy Director Trecey J Tojuka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tourism Malaysia Sabah Office is collaborating with four participating shopping malls in Kota Kinabalu, namely Imago Shopping Mall, 1Borneo Hypermall, Suria Sabah, and Karamunsing Shopping Complex,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said that Tourism Malaysia Sabah is also initiating an incentive activity for shoppers through a partnership with the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“With a single receipt of RM500 spent, shoppers are entitled to receive a meal voucher worth RM50 to be used at the Meranti Caf\u00e9 in SICC, valid until August 31, 2024,” said Trecey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The diners will also stand a chance to win lucky tour packages from a draw of their ticket stubs, she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first prize is a three-day, two-night stay in Danum Valley, sponsored by Borneo Nature Tours, for two people, including return air tickets from Kota Kinabalu to Lahad Datu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second prize is a three-day, two-night stay at Mulu Benarat Lodge, sponsored by Intrepid Travel (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd with return air tickets from Kota Kinabalu to Mulu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third prize is a trip to Labuan with accommodation at Tiara Hotel. All air tickets are sponsored by MASwings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Through the Mega Sale campaign, we hope to attract more consumers to shop in the malls, as many people have been shopping online since the onset of the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe also hope to attract more foreign visitors to the malls, making their holidays in Malaysia a value-for-money destination aligned with the national slogan ‘My Priceless Experience,'” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the campaign will be held twice, namely Malaysia Mega Sale (June 15 – July 31, 2024) and the Year-End Sale (November 15 – December 31).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 2025 and 2026, the national sales campaign will be held three times a year, namely Malaysia Super Sale on March 1-31, Malaysia Mega Sale on June 15 – July 31, and Year-End Sale on December 15-31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“These programmes are designed to attract both domestic and international tourists, creating added value while travelling in Malaysia,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, who launched the programme last week, said the initiative is expected to have a significant impact of RM102.7 billion in tourism revenue for 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
