Sabah Tourism Board, in collaboration with Batik Air and Fun Holiday, hosted a dedicated roadshow in Uzbekistan, captivating the interest of Uzbekistan tourists who are seeking new Muslim-friendly destinations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The roadshow, which took place in the historic cities of Samarkand and Tashkent on April 23rd and 25th, 2024, garnered remarkable attendance with 250 enthusiastic participants from both cities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the attractions promoted were Island, beach and river attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uzbekistan, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant history, has explored fresh holiday destinations beyond its traditional favorites like Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recognising this growing interest, the Sabah Tourism Board seized the opportunity to showcase Sabah’s unparalleled beauty and hospitality to Uzbekistan travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With two airlines offering direct flights from Tashkent to Kuala Lumpur \u2013 Batik Air and Uzbekistan Airways \u2013 accessibility to Sabah has never been easier for Uzbekistan tourists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the Sabah Tourism Board initiated discussions with Samarkand Airways, the Tashkent Tourism Authority, and the Samarkand Tourism Authority to explore avenues for cross-promotion, aiming to enhance the visibility of Sabah as a preferred destination among Uzbekistan travellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This roadshow marks a significant milestone in Sabah’s tourism initiatives, building upon the foundation laid during Datuk Joniston Bangkui\u2019s who is Sabah\u2019s Assistant Minister of Tourism Culture and Environment and Sabah Tourism Board\u2019s visit to Uzbekistan in October of last year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fruitful discussions and interactions during the roadshow paved the way for exciting collaborations and partnerships between Sabah and Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Exclusive Travel, an Uzbekistan-based travel wholesaler partnering with Fun Holiday and Batik Air, is exploring the idea of introducing chartered flights, offering Uzbekistan tourists a new winter getaway to explore the natural wonders and cultural marvels of Sabah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
