{"id":308,"date":"2020-04-17T13:08:57","date_gmt":"2020-04-17T13:08:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/?p=308"},"modified":"2020-04-17T13:08:59","modified_gmt":"2020-04-17T13:08:59","slug":"airasia-announces-resumption-of-domestic-flights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/holidaysabah.com\/?p=308","title":{"rendered":"AirAsia announces resumption of domestic flights"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SEPANG: AirAsia is set to resume its scheduled domestic flights commencing with Malaysia on 29 April 2020, followed by Thailand (1 May 2020), the Philippines (1 May 2020), India (4 May 2020) and Indonesia (7 May 2020), subject to approval from the authorities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resumption of\nservices will initially be for key selected domestic routes, which will\nincrease gradually to include international destinations around the network,\nonce the situation improves and governments lift borders and travel\nrestrictions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The flights are\nalready open for booking via the<a href=\"http:\/\/airasia.com\/\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/airasia.com\/\">airasia.com<\/a> website and our mobile app. Guests\nmay use their credit accounts to redeem for these flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further details\non more routes and flight schedule will be announced in the coming weeks,\nsubject to approval from the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President\n(Airlines) of AirAsia Group, Bo Lingam said: \u201cWe are very pleased to be able to\nfly again and to serve our guests starting with domestic routes, and hope to\nresume full operations as soon as possible. We have undertaken a thorough\nreview of our guest handling procedures both on ground and onboard in light of\nthe Covid-19 pandemic. We have been working closely with the airport\nauthorities to ensure that all the relevant precautionary measures are in place\nto ensure a safe, pleasant and comfortable journey for everyone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt AirAsia, the\nsafety and wellbeing of our guests and employees is always our highest priority.\nWe work actively with all our regulators, local governments, civil aviation and\nhealth authorities, including adhering to guidance from the World Health\nOrganisation (WHO) and International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) to\nensure the highest standards of compliance and conformance are in place for\nevery single flight we operate in our network.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guests are\nadvised to practise the universally recommended protective precautionary\nmeasures including wearing a mask, social distancing and observing high\npersonal hygiene.
