KOTA KINABALU: The much-anticipated\ninaugural Borneo Hospitality Challenge 2020 has been postponed to a later month\ndue to the Covid-19 outbreak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Its organising chairman Dion Jee said\nyesterday the event is postponed after taking into consideration the health and\nsafety aspects of the competitors, sponsors and public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAll the participants who have\nsubmitted their entries are still valid after the new date is announced,\u201d Dion\nassured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event scheduled on May 30 and 31 at\nSabah International Convention Centre has received confirmations from Malaysia,\nBrunei, Indonesia, the Philippines and Bangladesh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will compete in 20 categories\nincluding team challenge, flair tending, barista, latte art and mocktail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe apologise for any inconvenience\ncaused and we appreciate your understanding, high cooperation and support. We\nhope to see you soon at the event. We believe we can make it happen,\u201d Dion\nsaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event aims to put Sabah on the map\nas it will be competed by about 300 competitors and endorsed by International\nFood and Beverage Association and Malaysian Food and Beverage Executives\nAssociation.
