class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KOTA KINABALU: Kampung Natai in Telipok has been identified as a promising site for community-based tourism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 101-hectare land is located within the Crocker range biosphere reserve, just 36km away from Kota Kinabalu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During a community-based tourism advocacy programme at Tamaza ACV, City Hall&#8217;s tourism director, Fauziaton Ag Samad, recommended that relevant departments and the community work together to promote tourism in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She said City Hall is committed to providing guidance and advice to help the community achieve their goals despite limited budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul Malaysia Sabah, Sabah Tourism Board, and Community Development Leader Unit were present to provide advice and brief participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Sabah Parks representatives explained their efforts to conserve the area since 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-4 is-layout-flex class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emalia from Homestay Desa Cinta Kampung Kobuni shared her success story in community-based tourism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Sabah Tourism Board
